Welcome to my weekly Home Business Success Podcast.

Today, let’s talk about some Social Media Tips.

Social Media is such a great way to get new prospects for your business, but are you really making the most out of it?

One of the ideas about promoting online, and with Social Media is to become the hunted, rather than the hunter. We want to work our business more like a fisherman than a hunter. This way people come to us who are interested, and we are not appearing needy or pushy.

But unfortunately, especially for those of use who are new to social media, we tend to jump on Facebook and post all over the place. We talk about how excited we are and how wonderful the products are. We post our links all over the place, and how you make a million dollars with our company in just a few months!

So let’s talk about some ways we can use social media the right way so that we can become the “hunted” and attract people to us. It’s really not that complicated, but I know some people struggle with it.

We’ll talk about how to use Social Media to build relationships and why that is the most important you can do with Social Media.

We’ll talk about creating a strategy, and developing a social media plan that we can follow for best results.

We’ll talk about knowing your audience. Who are they? What are their concerns? What are they interested in?

We’ll talk about using communities or groups and why that is important.

We’ll talk about your profile – how it should be setup, and what it should include.

We’ll talk about types of posts and why you should use a mix of different types.

We’ll talk about Hash Tags, why they are important and how they can help you.

We’ll talk about getting out there, chit chatting and interacting with people online, and why that’s important.

We’ll talk about the types of posts and subjects you’ll want to avoid.

We’ll talk about how to talk about current events to create more interest in you and your brand.

We’ll talk about how to find the balance between personal and professional.

We’ll talk about some great ideas for what to post about.

We’ll talk about being transparent, open and honest, and letting your personality shine through.

And we’ll even talk about why grammar and spelling are important.
