Today let’s talk about treating your business like a business. Many times, I find that Network Marketers do not treat their business like a real business.
If you’re looking to build a multi-million dollar business, then you have to start treating it like one… right NOW! Most people think they will once it’s starts paying them like one, but the truth is… if you don’t do it now it won’t ever develop into one.
So what does it mean to “treat it like a business?” Here are 10 ideas:
#1 – Keep Business Hours. We’ll talk about why that’s so important and what it looks like in your business.
#2 – Commit to attending events consistently. You’ll find that all the top earners would never miss an event, and there’s a good reason!
#3 – Be a regular on conference calls and/or webinars. The nuts-n-bolts are often taught on these calls from the leaders who are making things happen. So this is the best place to get your training.
#4 – Track your activities as well as your results. Be sure to focus on income-producing activities. We talk about what these are and how to make them a priority in your business.
#5 – Be prepared to invest in your business. Yes, it does take money to make money, so be prepared to have a plan on how to invest back into your growth.
#6 – Learn from defeat. You will not always win. Sometimes you have to be bad at something before you can be really good at it. That’s just the way it is. Like Jim Rohn says, when you get your own world, you can change that. 🙂
#7 – Treat your customers with love and respect. This applies to customers, distributors, and even prospects. They are the most important thing in your business.
#8 – Protect your business. Your Company brand and your Personal Brand are very important.
#9 – Remember that every distributor is a distribution point for your business. Treat them as such, and help them grow.
And #10 – Pay your taxes and get your business set up properly. This can be one of the most important things you can do to assure success.
