Anyone who tells you it’s not is either lying or has never actually started one himself. The hours are long, sacrifices are great and you are challenged with new issues every day.
But studies have shown that the most successful entrepreneurs possess these 3 qualities:
1. Self Confidence –
This is that magical power of having confidence in yourself and in your abilities.
2. Achievement Oriented –
Results are gained by focused and sustained effort. Those who are the most successful have the ability to concentrate on achieving specific goals and being laser focused on income producing activities.
3. Risk Taker –
They realize that there is a risk but they have the confidence necessary to take calculated risks to achieve their goals.
Successful Entrepreneurs are people who make decisions, take action and believe that they control their destiny. They are often motivated by the spirit of independence and how that their success depends on raw effort and hard work, not luck.
Which if these characteristics are the most important? Self Confidence. Without self-confidence, nothing else is possible. If you don’t have belief in our abilities the first challenge that comes up may knock you off the path to achieving your goals.
Here are a few ideas to keep in mind to maintain a higher level of self-confidence:
Positive Thinking –
It all starts with a positive attitude. Having belief that something good will happen is the first step. Negative thinking is simply not allowed. You must truly believe that there are no circumstances strong enough to deter you from reaching your goals.
Keep in mind that Positive Thinking is also contagious. When it spreads, it can open doors to new ideas, customers, friends, etc., and people will be attracted to you because of your positive attitude.
Persistent Action –
All of the positive thinking and believing in the world won’t do you much good if it is not applied with action towards a goal. You have to take action – no excuses allowed! This action also needs to be persistent.
Trying once and then giving up is not going to be enough. Keep at it one step at a time. If you can’t get past a certain step, find a creative way to try again, or just go around it.
These are just a few of the traits that are common among successful entrepreneurs. Take a look at your business and decide where you want to be. Then maintain a strong belief in yourself and your skills, stick with it and don’t ever give up. If you can do that, you’re already halfway there!

p.s. What you get out of your business in the form of personal satisfaction, financial gain, stability and enjoyment will be the sum of what you put into your business. So be sure you’re doing something that you enjoy. If you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, chances are you won’t succeed.
