Blogging Should Be Your Top Priority
Consistent Blogging Is Crucial to your Online Marketing Success!
Even with a website, it’s important to have a blog so that you can engage with your target audience, attract new prospects, establish credibility, and attract the attention of the search engines.
Unlike a “static” website, a blog makes it possible for readers to get involved in the discussion, get the latest news about you, your product, service, or company, and feel connected.
Ultimately, readers will enjoy feeling that they get a glimpse of the more personal side of you and your business. It is the primary vehicle that builds the “know, like & trust” factor that’s crucial to building relationships.
It takes time to establish your blog but the results are well worth the effort.
To get the most out of your blog, you will need to set aside some time every week to write quality content.
The more you publish posts, the greater the benefits.
The more often you publish to your blog, the more leads you will receive – in fact studies have shown that businesses that blog regularly are more than two times as likely to generate leads from their website than businesses that don’t.
It’s important to think like your prospect:
Don’t write what YOU want your customers to know, write what THEY want to know.
If you’re writing about your opportunity, don’t simply tell them why yours is best.
Instead, offer them guidance on how to market their business or about new technologies that are out there to help promote a home business.
Of course you can promote your brand within that context and try to lead them towards a purchase, but there has to be a give and take. You need to offer something of value before they’re going to be interested in what you have to offer.
No matter what field you are in, there are many types of information that can be shared with others.
Even ideas or topics you feel are very basic can educate other people that are new to your field or product.
Another great way to come up with ideas for content is to write blog posts that answer some of your frequently asked questions.
Almost every website has a section for frequently asked questions, so you should be able to expand upon them pretty quickly.
This is the foundation for good blogging. Creating this “fresh content” has many advantages especially when it is “quality content” that demonstrates expertise in your business.
Benefits of consistent blogging:
The two main advantages are how this makes you appear in your visitors’ eyes and how you appear to Google and other search engines when they crawl your site.
The more “helpful” your blogs are, the more trust you build with your visitors and the more page rank you receive from the major search engines.
Keep in mind that when using social media, other people will be more inclined to “share” your information if they feel it benefits them and others.
When your blog posts get shared socially they have the potential to get more visitors to your site and they also create powerful quality backlinks, which search engines count to help establish your page rank.
Each blog post can be used as a platform to rank for new keywords. Since keywords are important for ranking high when people use search engines, this makes a lot of sense.
Establish a pattern when blogging and stick to it.
I suggest that in the beginning you post every day for the first 90 days. Make this a priority because this is what will get your blog off to a great start as quickly as possible.
After 90 days you can slow down a little but make realistic goals that can be kept. If you can produce a new blog post twice a week, or weekly, or even twice a month you will be heading in the right direction – as long as you remain consistent.
The major search engines also increase page rank in websites that have a lot of content and keep fresh content coming in, so frequent posts are definitely better.
Your goal is to be out there online in such a way that your prospect will be able to find you and your business when they are out surfing!
It really is that simple!
