We all have a place in our lives where we are comfortable. We are used to things being as they are. But if we want to grow our Network Marketing business, it’s time to take down the barriers and break free of your comfort zone!
Think back to anything new that you learned. No matter what it was – from tying your shoes, to heart surgery – there is always a point where you have to leave your comfort zone in order to get good at it. Even tying your shoes seemed awkward at first.
Maybe it felt like you had all thumbs and couldn’t get a good hold on the lace. But you kept trying and got better and better at it. Now you don’t even think about it, the task comes naturally.
Sometimes practice begins in your mind. Lasting changes can occur first in daydreaming and then work their way into reality. If talking to people is a skill you want to strengthen; before you go out for the day, sit down in a quiet place and imagine what your day is going to be like.
Imagine the people you meet and the conversation you will have. Then once you are out there talking to people, you’ll already have a little experience with it and will have thought about different scenarios you might encounter. This will be quite helpful to you if you are thinking, “Oh my gosh. What do I say to this person?”
When you are actually out there talking to people, you might even come away afterwards asking yourself, “Why did I ever say that?” But as time goes by, you will Do, Analyze, Adjust and Do again. Each time you will get a little better, and before you know it, you’ll be talking to people with ease and not even thinking about it!
