Conversation Helpers Conversation skills are very important when talking to new people who may be interested in your business.  Conversation skills are what will help you build trust and relationships with the people you meet.

As you go about meeting people throughout your day, become genuinely interested in them and their lives.

Have a specific goal in mind before you start your day and you’ll be surprised how many people you will meet that can help you reach your goal.  What you focus on is what you get, and once you set that intention in the morning, your focus will be set.

Make it your goal to actively listen and learn everything you can about your prospect.   Ask questions such as, “And what did you do then?”, or “Wow, what happened next?”

When you encourage others to talk about themselves and listen to what they have to say, you are a master prospector.  Getting someone talking about themselves is easy because you’re talking about their favorite subject – them.  The best 4 words you can use are, “Tell me about yourself.”

Be sincere in your compliments, and make the other person feel important.  The 5 most precious words you can say to someone are “I’m proud of you.”

When you’re talking about your opportunity, talk in terms of the other person’s interest.  Once you’ve found a need in the other person’s life all you have to do is show them a way to solve that need.  If you’ve built that relationship and trust along the way you may have just sponsored another person into your business!

p.s.  Remember, you want to concentrate more on listening than on talking.  Ask a lot of questions and really listen to what your prospect has to say.  Let your prospect sell himself on what you’re offering.
