Create a Success Mindset Regarding Your Business
It’s all about mindset – and this was huge for me.
Years ago, when I left my last company and started in my new one, it had it in my head that I wouldn’t sign up as many Distributors as I did before because the cost to join was much higher.
I was sooo wrong, and this is the little tweak I made in my mind. Once I did this, I signed up 7 customers and 2 MDs in 7 days!
Every company is different, but you can come into the company I was working with for as low as $10.00 to be a customer or as high as $395 to be a Distributor.
It’s not up to me at what level they come in – they get to make their own decision 🙂
Money really has nothing to do with it anyway.
The same person who tells you he doesn’t have $395 today will buy an iPhone tomorrow.
It’s all about belief – in you as their sponsor, in the company, and even in themselves about if they can make this work.
I hope that whatever company you are in, that you truly love your products and think they’re the best. You need the mindset that, of course everyone would want your product at some level – either as a Distributor, a customer, or even to help you get the word out.
Our job then is to SORT not SELL!
If we ask a question and get an answer, we got what we wanted. This is huge! Please really think about this.
Our goal is to get a YES, NO or MAYBE. And we sort them by which one they are. That is it! Even a NO is a yes because we got what we wanted – a YES, NO, or MAYBE.
Once you’ve gotten what you are looking for here’s what you do with it:
YES – then get them signed up right away – the only question is Customer or Distributor, and if Customer – what level.
NO – Thank you for looking at it. Do you know anyone who might like something like this? Maybe you can help us spread the word?
MAYBE – Get them whatever information it is that they need. Either have them watch another video, get on an opportunity call or 3-way call with your upline, or whatever it is that they need.
Pretty simple, right! We all tend to make it too difficult (myself included). But all you’re going to do as ask some questions to help you understand how you can help them:
- Have you ever heard of XYZ Company?
- What kind of work do you do?
- Can I ask you a favor? Would you look at this please?
- Or any other question that will help you get to know them.
Whatever your question is… wait for their answer. Their answer will tell you what to do next… Whether to show them your products, or your opportunity, or even how they can just help you get the word out.
And if they’re interested… Great! Are you interested in being a Customer or Distributor? And let’s get you started!
If they like the product but are not sure about it or are wavering, just say – “I’ll tell you what… Let’s just get you started on the smallest package (or size, or whatever you have to offer), and then when you decide you absolutely love it, you can always order more (or upgrade, or whatever your options are)!”
They’re going to be so surprised that you didn’t try to push them into the more expensive subscriptions, they most likely will go right for it!
