Driving Traffic to Your Autoresponder Once your Autoresponder is setup and ready to go, now you want to drive traffic to your Opt in Box.

You’ll need to get your potential new business partners/customers to opt in to your Autoresponder so that you can start to build the relationship with them.  Here are some tips to help you get more traffic.

Create a giveaway to give out in return for their opt in –

What do you have that you can give away?  Maybe a recorded conference call, or maybe an ebook that you wrote about 5 Important Questions about (whatever your business is about).  Don’t have anything like that?  Maybe you can interview a successful online business person and give away the recording (with their permission of course).  Having something to give them for free will dramatically increase your opt-in rate.  You’ll see mine at the bottom of this page.

Blog Daily (Most Important) –

Write your blog post daily and syndicate your blog posts around the web to get people reading it.  Always include a call to action at the bottom of each blog post linking them to your opt  in page.

Join and Participate in Facebook Groups, Forums, etc. –

Join groups that appeal to your target market, and participate in the groups by asking and answering relevant questions.  Become a resource and people will start to notice you and will want to learn more about what you have to offer and they’ll likely join your list.

Use Social Media –

Be active on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, etc. to connect with your target market.  Every time you make a new post on your blog, make an announcement on all your Social Media sites.

Create and Submit YouTube Videos –

Post these on your blogs, share them on facebook, and encourage others to share them as well.  Be sure to include the link to your opt-in page in the comments section of your video.

Post your Opt-In link on Facebook –

Once a week or so, post your Opt-in link on Facebook with a note about how they can get your free giveaway by visiting your Blog.

Be sure to post daily (or at least consistently) on you blog –

That way you’ll always have new content to mention on Facebook or tweet about, etc.

Include the web address to your Blog in your email –

Setup a signature in your email program so that every email that goes out has a link to your Opt-in page.

Comment on other people’s blogs –

Be sure to write comments that are thoughtful and valuable.  Then you’ll be able to include a link to your blog or opt-in page.

These are just a few of the ways to get the word out about your blog.  The more traffic you can drive to your blog, the more will opt-in, and the more you’ll have on your autoresponder to build relationships with.  Over time, that will mean more people in your business.

p.s.  One important point… I use the word OPT-IN a lot in this blog post but the words you should use on your web-page should be terms like: Subscribe or Join Me or Grab My Free Report.  The words you use can make a BIG difference to getting people on your list.
