Failure is a Good Thing

Failure is a Good Thing

Failure is a Good Thing

The sweetest victory is the one that’s the most difficult!  It’s the one that requires you to dig deep down inside yourself, overcome failure, and fight with everything you’ve got.

Generally, we’re not rewarded for failure, but the truth is failure is its own reward.

We’ve all heard the story of Thomas Edison and his quote, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.

If he hadn’t failed, Thomas Edison might not have become America’s most well-known and prolific innovator.

Many people allow failure to hold them back when in reality failure can be a good thing!

Don’t let the fear of failure prevent you from following your dreams or having a go at something new.

Zig Ziglar once said, “Failure is an event, not a person.”  How profound is that!

Here Are Some Reasons Why Failure Is A Good Thing:

Failure makes you stronger –

Even though you didn’t get the result you wanted, you can become more determined to succeed.

Even though you probably felt discouraged, frustrated, or upset, those feelings will grow into a burst of determination and strength to try again.

You’ll be more focused on success the next time you try it.

Failure means you have courage –

At least you were willing to try.

Don’t be worried about failing – just do it.

Courage is not the absence of fear, but it’s feeling the fear and doing it anyway.

When you make the effort and do it, despite the possibility you might fail, you show that you have great courage.

Failure helps you learn –

Like Thomas Edison, you learn what doesn’t work each time you fail.

This is the mentality of geniuses and successful people.

Failure to get the results you want is not a negative thing, it is simply a chance to try a different method.

It is also the chance to start again.

Failure provides you with answers –

If you don’t try and fail, how will you know what works and what doesn’t?

You spend time worrying that you don’t have the answer; you wonder whether it would have worked.

Just do it, and you will learn what works and what doesn’t.

With regret, you will never know.

Failure gives you the best results –

If you look around, you’ll see that the most successful people are those who have failed the most.

Having to persevere to learn a new skill gives you the advantage over someone who gets it right the first time.

Learning many ways how not to do it gives you the edge over the person who hasn’t had that experience.

Don’t view failure as a bad thing.  Instead, look at each attempt to reach your goals as a triumph.

Each time you fail you get closer to success.

There’s always something to learn, ways to grow, and new opportunities waiting just around the corner.

Use every failure as an opportunity to learn and grow as a person.
