Leaving your footprint around town is a great way to attract those who are interested to you.
Here are some ideas that may help you:
Business Cards –
Keep a stack of business cards in your purse / pocket / wallet. When you pay the cashier for a purchase, give them a business card. If you’re in a bookstore, leave your card in a book you were looking at. If you are in a business and see business cards posted for people to take, be sure to leave some of yours as well.
Catalogs / Brochures –
If you’re in a service environment, there may be people waiting who could use something to read. Be sure to leave your catalogs and brochures at places such as at the doctor’s office, tire shop, car wash, etc. You never know who might pick up your brochure for something to read, and you gain a new customer or distributor.
Many businesses have a community board where they allow small business owners to post their flyers. You’ll want to be sure to leave some flyers on that board. Colleges and Universities also have such boards where you can post your flyers.
If you are in a company that provides samples, package them in a clear plastic bag with your business card and/or a label with your information. As you go about your day, give these to the receptionist or desk person as a thank you. You’ll get your name out there and people will appreciate your thoughtfulness as well.
As you go about your day, always look for ways where you can leave behind some piece of information about your business. Make sure you always have plenty of pieces in your car, briefcase or purse. This will enable you to scatter your information all around your city, and people who are interested will pick them up and call you.
