It is Time to be Bold
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was a philosopher who is often quoted. One of his most famous quotes is,
“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!”
So let’s look at that quote for a minute. Whatever you can or dream you can…
In 1910, a man named Wallace Wattles wrote a wonderful book called, “The Science of Getting Rich.” It wasn’t the Science of Being Rich because you are already rich.
You’re rich because you have the mind of the infinite to think with. You’re rich because the Spirit is breathing you. You’re rich because you’ve been given the greatest wealth there is and that is a 24-hour time span, a piece of life compacted into each day. And nobody gets to think your thoughts but you. You get to choose whatever thoughts you are thinking. You get to decide how you’re going to respond or react at any given moment. The point of power is right where you are and it sits between you and what you do with this vast resource called your mind.
So, in that book, The Science of Getting Rich, Waddles talks about how people live from a frequency in harmony with the life they would love to live. They have some habits. One of those is they notice what they’re noticing.
Noticing what you’re noticing is a fundamental life mastery skill. One that will help you master the energies called life. You can master having a day and have it be useful. Having thoughts and put them towards something would love – the images and the life that you would love to live. Success becomes natural and easy, and that you feel a contribution in the way of your daily life. Nobody lives a whole life like that, but people have moments like that. And they have moments like that because they make decisions for it to be that way.
So whatever you can, or dream you can… begin it! Gothe says don’t wait until everything is lined up. Don’t wait into all the money is in the bank. Don’t wait until everybody agrees it’s a good idea. Don’t wait!
If you are in love with it… If it is an idea you’re in love with… So what idea might that be for you. Whatever you can or dream you can, begin it. What step should you take today? Begin it. Because that’s really what is – a bold move.
When you get in your car and drive out, you know it’s not going to be all green lights lined up for you. You’re not sure how everything’s going to work out. Many times I’ve started a project having no idea how it was all going to happen. I was in love with the opportunity for that project. If you’ve ever had a child, you weren’t sure how it was all going to work out. But you fell in love with that idea and then you fell in love with the baby. Every one of us is doing these things all the time, but we forget to do that with our dreams.
Whatever you can or dream you can, begin it because boldness has magic, power and genius in it.
