No One Owns a Prospect

No One Owns a Prospect When you meet someone new, it is a courtesy to ask them if they are currently working with someone else.  We’re not looking to steal prospects away from another person.  But if that person has not been contacted in awhile, it is perfectly OK to move ahead and recruit them.  You are working a business after all.

On that same note, it’s always a good idea when you’re talking to someone new to ask them that if they hear of your opportunity from someone else, to please tell them they are working with you.

We’re absolutely not looking to steal a recruit from another business builder.  If you know that your prospect is working with someone else, then move on.  It’s time to find your next prospect. There’s plenty of people out there.

p.s.  It’s not worth it to take a prospect from another person.  Just do the right thing and you’ll always come out ahead.
