I have many friends who are very successful. Do you know what all successful people have in common? Right, it’s their mindset!
I was working on all the “technical” things in my business, but it wasn’t until I started working on my mindset that I started finding the success I was looking for.
One big Aha moment I had recently is that deep down I had the belief that success is difficult and that it takes a long time. Wow! As long as I believed that, even subconsciously, I would do whatever it took to make success difficult. That is something I needed to let go of.
A prosperous mindset encourages day-to-day thoughts and actions that foster the attitude of financial success. Prosperity is not only a state of financial well-being; it is also a state of mind.
There are many differences between the mindset of someone in the habit of thinking about what can’t be accomplished financially and the mindset of someone who focuses on unlimited financial possibilities. What you believe determines what actions you will take and what opportunities you will see that are right in front of you. Without a prosperous mindset you will miss those opportunities because you can’t even see them.
A Prosperity Mindset Story
So I have a story about my friend that I’d like to share with you which shows how having a prosperity mindset can make all the difference:
My friend Marty was a Real Estate Agent. He was just getting started in his business so he wasn’t making a lot of money yet. He was really excited because he had a house that was going to close within the next few days, and for a Realtor, that means it’s payday!
Everything was going well and it looked as if the house was going to close on schedule with no problems. Then Marty got a call from the Public Utilities Department. They said that their monitoring showed an unusual massive spurt of 40,000 gallons of water at that house. Did he know what was happening there? Marty said he would go and check it out.
When he got to the house, he found a burst pipe on the top floor, and all the water from that pipe had flowed throughout the house and shorted out the electrical system. It was the middle of winter, and so what he found was a water damaged, totally frozen house.
Marty Was Devastated…
The house was destroyed and the buyers didn’t want to buy a broken house, and he wouldn’t receive his commission.
But Marty’s Broker said, “Wait a minute. This is a good thing!”
“Yea right… a good thing?” …That’s what Marty was thinking!
But the Broker told him, “Look, the house is insured and will be fixed as good as new. This will give the new owners the ability to get their new house remodeled and they will even get to choose the new colors and textures for the walls and floors and such.”
Marty went back and explained that option to his buyers and they went for it. Not only did they get a remodeled house, they also got to include a couple of extras in remodeling to fix it up the way they wanted… without having to pay another penny. They did have to wait a couple of extra weeks to move in, but what a great value they received on their purchase.
So, the Seller was happy, the Buyer was happy, and Marty made his commission!
What If Marty Just Gave Up And Said Oh Well?
He would have lost the sale and nobody would have been happy.
But because his Broker already lived the habit of prosperous thinking, he was able to see the good side of the challenge and reap the rewards.
Working on your Prosperity Mindset can be the key to the success you’ve been looking for. Everything you possibly want to create in your life is right at your fingertips when you get your focus, your mind, your thoughts and your beliefs in alignment.
Mindset Makes All The Difference
The TRUTH is – we are limitless beings – we exist in an infinite and limitless universe – with limitless potential to achieve ANYTHING that we can conceive and truly believe in our minds. The moment we absolutely ‘commit’ ourselves and just let the magic happen and be open to receive it – then providence moves too. Abundance – prosperity – happiness will flourish for us.
And when it does – not only will we have more than enough for ourselves and our loved ones – we can aspire to much greater heights. We can make a difference in the lives of others, we can make a real difference in our world!
