Remember to Have Fun!
I tend to find my self totally focused on what I need to do to achieve success in my business. Sometimes I’m so focused that I forget to have fun along the way.
Luckily I have my husband, Richard, to help me with that. He’s all about the fun!
So I need to find a way to incorporate both the seriousness and the fun into my business and my life. So I’ve done some research and this is what I’ve found.
Fun is an attitude, a state of being. It can inspire you, motivate you and empower you to change your attitude, reactions and perception of yourself.
Fun and a sense of humor can help propel you towards your goals more quickly – not to mention you get to enjoy yourself along the way.
Fun is not something to look outside yourself for. It’s something from within. You need to own it, embrace it and develop it within you as you life your life in the present moment.
We all get to make the decision every day about whether we’re going to enjoy life or not.
Here’s some tips I found:
Develop your ability to be in the moment
Get up, get out of bed, and look around you. Drink in everything. Be grateful for everything you have in your life. I definitely do that. I am so incredibly blessed. I get to wake up when I’m done sleeping, most days without an alarm. I have a beautiful house with a creek and a small forest in the back yard.
Every morning I get my coffee, sit out by the creek while I eat my Greek Yogurt and tell myself, “I own this”, “This is mine”. This comes with a sense of wonderment every morning. How incredibly blessed am I!
Give yourself permission to wholeheartedly enjoy each moment without judging. Look at everything with new eyes, as though you’re seeing it for the first time.
Break out of your routine
Shake things up. Try learning something new. I’ve been working on this myself. Last fall, Richard and I took ice skating lessons and tennis lessons.
My daughter and I are currently looking into learning how do Taiku Drums. Wow, that sounds like fun… and what a way to get more in tune with our spiritual side!
Visit an amusement park and ride the roller coaster or ferris wheel. Allow yourself to be a kid. Maybe rearrange your office or living room. These types of things will give you a new outlook and help bring up your “fun quotient!”
Build a Fun Network
Find people you can have fun with. People who you can be yourself with, so you’re not afraid to go out and try new activities. People who are like my husband, Richard, who just like to have fun!
When you find people who appreciate amusement, enjoyment, and laughter, stay connected with them and look for more people to add to your “fun network.”
Choose to laugh, feel good, and amuse yourself and others. These are conscious actions and skills that can be developed until they become second nature. Living in the moment with a sense of fun and humor makes it easier to tolerate, accept and amuse others.
Please share below what types of things you do for fun. I would love to hear them. Let’s work together and we can enhance all our relationships with our new attitude.
<—— Did this article help you? If so, it would mean a lot to me if you would share it with others!!! And, share your comments below! I would LOVE to know more about you and your thoughts on this subject!
Let’s have some conversation!
EXPECT Success!

p.s. Remember, fun is not something you look for outside yourself. It’s something you own, embrace and develop within as you live life in the present moment.
