Stop Sabotaging Your Dreams
You’re having a great week and everything seems to be on track, when all of a sudden things change… You lock your keys in the car, your checking account is all of a sudden overdrawn, or people stop returning your calls.
So, what’s stopping you from being, doing and having; what’s keeping away your joy? Could it be the story you tell yourself?
You know the story you tell yourself every time you fall short of your own expectations? When you start to feel resentful because you said yes when you wanted to say no? The story you tell yourself when you think no one is looking?
Maybe you hear your inner voices kick up with messages like, “you can’t do this” or “this can’t be happening.” And, Boom! You are stuck. Your beliefs and behaviors rise up sucking the energy and enthusiasm right out of your efforts – sabotaging the very things you want most.
Many times this shows up when we’ve reached a place that feels so creative, successful, and happy that we don’t know how to handle all the good feelings. We’ve found ourselves outside of our comfort zone, so we shock ourselves back into the familiar. We end up just settling for things and just getting by to survive another day.
It doesn’t have to be that way though.
If you want something bad enough… If you have dreams about wanting something better. NEVER EVER finish the sentence or thought that it will never happen. In fact do the exact opposite.
Figure out your pain. The pain of staying where you are in your current circumstances has got to be greater than fear of moving forward! That’s when the magic happens.
Schedule the time you have available to work your business. Yes, I know you’re only limited to a certain amount of hours each day – you work, have kids, chores to get done and so much other things going on – but by taking some steps each day towards the bigger picture, the lifestyle and the freedom will be absolutely worth it in the end! Small steps count too.
Adopt a new habit of doing things in your life even if you don’t feel like doing it that will lead you to where you want to go.
Remember what Jim Rohn said:
“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day; while failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either fortune or failure.”
You see when we have dreams that are strong enough… and we work hard to achieve them, we remind ourselves every day what they are and how you are going to get them… not caring what others around you say, something magical will happen…
You will achieve your dreams! You really will!

p.s. The secret is to add love. Yes, love – Love for yourself. Love for money. And awareness that money is one of Life’s ways of trying to give you love and support.
