The Path To Success
Most people think that some people are smart and successful and some are not.
They believe that most people are born with or without the ability to be successful, and that when they set out to accomplish something they either achieve it or not.
Nothing could be further from the truth. There is only one path. See the image above? The path on the right is the same path everyone is on.
You move forward and you reach an obstacle (or fail). Then you overcome that one and move on a little more, and then guess what… you hit another obstacle (or fail), and then another and another and another. It’s the same process for everyone.
When starting their network marketing business, this is what most people are thinking: “Hmm, I can think of 5 or 6 people who might do this too! My sister would be great! My friend loves this kind of thing. I know this other person who could be amazing! Okay, I’ll join.”
Then they hit their first obstacle – maybe those people said “No!” Truth is, they didn’t really join a profession. They were more likely hoping to get lucky, sign up enough people to cover their initial investment, and then sit back and wait for the money to roll in. But they didn’t really start their business. They blame network marketing and tell everyone that they tried it and it didn’t work. That obstacle became the end for their business and they failed.
The successful ones will stop and evaluate what caused that failure. Maybe they’ll talk to their upline or take some time to study what went wrong. Maybe they’ll realize that they have some things to learn if they want to be successful. They start focusing on their skills and practice until they master them. So they move past that first obstacle and are now moving forward again in their business.
They will run into more obstacles. That’s part of the game. They’ll overcome that obstacle and move forward to the next and the next.
As long as you move forward you can’t fail. The only way to fail is to give up. Just keep moving forward and eventually you will arrive at success!
