What Does It Take To Be Successful?

What Does It Take To Be Successful? Imagine for a moment that you sit down at your computer at home and spend about an hour writing a blog post and another hour marketing that blog post.  Then you spend another hour watching a video or listening to an audio training.  And then you call it a day and do whatever you want for the rest of the day.  In the meantime, you’re making about $3,000 per day – EVERY DAY!

Now let’s compare that to working 8 hours per day making money for your employer, working hard to try to please your boss so you’ll get your 3-6% raise at the end of the year.  And let’s say that you have a better than average job which pays about $60,000 per year.

Which would you rather have?

Some people are stuck in their corporate job because they don’t believe they can be successful in their own business.  They’re afraid to take the chance.  But I’m here to tell you that you absolutely can achieve success if you want it.  And the cool thing is, you can keep your job and work your home business on the side.  You really have nothing to lose.

I’d say that the person in the first scenario was pretty successful right?  But the thing is, he didn’t just decide to do that and all of a sudden he was making $3,000/day.

In order to become successful, you need to first know what the road to success looks like.  Otherwise you might give up along the way.

In the beginning you might face rejection, times when it felt like nothing was happening, or other failures.  If you didn’t know that ahead of time you might stop trying along the way.

The misconception people have when judging successful people is that they look at the final picture and then judge the person without even knowing what that person went through before he found success.

People who eat at KFC might think that this place has always been successful.  But they don’t realize that Colonel Sanders was rejected 1001 times before he managed to sell his secret recipe somewhere.  He didn’t find his success until later in life.

If you knew that after you wrote your 300th blog post, scenario #1 above would be true for you, I bet you’d keep going until you got to that 300th blog post.  Unfortunately we don’t know how many it will take – that answer is different for everyone – but we do know that it WILL HAPPEN if you don’t stop.

So, be prepared to work hard, do the work, complete the action steps, and don’t ever give up and you can find success.  Sometimes success seems hard, but the truth is it’s 100% doable for everyone.  The only way to fail is to give up.  If you keep trying and don’t ever give up, you will become successful.
