Where to Find People for Your Business

Where to Find People for Your Business There are so many people out there who are looking for a business just like you have.  The difficult part is none of them is wearing a sign on their forehead saying, “Ask Me to Join Your Business.”  The only way to know is to talk with them.

Add more names to your list every day.  Look for ways to find more people to talk to.  Here are some ideas:

Anyone who has purchased from you before is a good prospect.  If they have bought from you before, they are more likely to buy from you again, and you already know they like your product.

Sometimes the best prospects come from your current customers.  They are already using your products and are happy with them.  Work on treating all your customers as though they were new customers.  Give them special attention and they will be likely to reciprocate by giving you referrals.  Every one of your customers has friends and if you are giving them exceptional service, they are more likely to recommend you to their friends if you ask.

Go through the yellow pages in the phone book starting with the A’s.  Who do you know who is an Attorney, or a Barber, etc?  As you find new names to add to your list, your business will grow.

Talk to your current prospects.  Even though they might not have joined your business yet, they may have friends who are interested.  Ask them to tell their friends about you.  One exciting outcome of this idea is that maybe when they see that their friends are interested they’ll want to join right away so they can sponsor their friends.

Be friendly with other Distributors in your area from other companies.  Exchange leads with them.  It will be a win/win for both of you.

As you go about your life, you will come into contact with many people through your clubs, civic meetings or other events.  Be sure to tell everyone about your business and that you would be happy to help them get involved too.

Do anything and everything possible to find new prospects.  Attend trade shows, fairs, use flyers and lead boxes.  Follow up with every prospect because you never know where that could lead you in your business.

p.s.  Work on building your “Life Network” instead of just concentrating on business prospects.  A “life network” is a network of people who you just enjoy having in your life, and would include your friends, family, and all the new contacts you’ll be making along the way.  Imaging how great it will be to add 300-400 new “friends” to your list over the next year so so, and how much all those new, interesting people will enrich your life!
