The More People Create Pipelines, the More Wealth we will all Have.
It used to be that many, many people immigrated to the U.S. – from England, Ireland, Germany, pretty much anywhere in the world.
Many of them came with just the clothes on their backs, but they came to the “land of opportunity” and created their own opportunity. There were even people who swam out of Vietnam for that chance of a better life and opportunity offered by the U.S.
Then the Industrial age came to America, and everyone started working for big companies. That was great while it lasted, but is no longer an effective way to build wealth. It’s time to get back to finding our own opportunities.
Watch this video for a cute little story that can make a huge difference in your life:
The above video titled the Parable of the Pipeline, talks about how anyone can build a pipeline of ongoing income in our new economy.
It tells a story of a village where the people were accustomed to walk far distances with buckets to get water.
Then one of the villagers came up with a way to build a pipeline from the water source. Of course he then owned that pipeline and could now trade the convenience of having easy water to the other villagers.
When he started, people didn’t believe this was possible and that he was wasting his time… and that their way of doing things was the right way and shouldn’t be changed.
But the villager didn’t care what the others thought. He built that pipeline little by little. Finally he turned it on and it worked! Some people didn’t think it would last. Some thought he was taking advantage of others by not just giving everyone free water. But some people finally saw the light and how this could help them too.
So take a close look at your life right now.
…Are you filling buckets or building a pipeline?
Obviously filling buckets will take care of your immediate needs and get you the money you need right now to survive. But long term, building a pipeline will give you that residual income that will make all your long-term dreams come true.
It will take some time to build but, after you get the pipeline built, income will continue to flow day and day out, no matter where you are in the world. Sure you may have to do a little maintenance from time to time but there is no arguing it is the best way to go.
…But it’s not the easiest.
So lets take this example and talk about activities in your financial and business life that this can be applied to.
Examples of Filling Up Buckets
Working a job where you trade time for money –
If you stop working, you run out of money. If you want more money you have to work more (you have to carry more buckets)
Running a traditional business –
Lets say you own a franchise or other business that requires a lot of employees and overhead. Yes you are the boss but you are married to that business and it requires to you fill up a lot of buckets to keep things running. Yes you can get employees to fill and carry buckets; that’s true. But talk to most business owners and they will tell you that their traditional business owns them.
Running an Internet Marketing business where you focus on product launches –
Ok… you ready for the dirty little secret that most Internet Marketers won’t tell you?
Most online marketers focus on product launches or promotions that are one time deals. They are constantly running from promotion to promotion to stay a head and make it work for them. They are in essence filling buckets and sometimes they run out of buckets or their buckets disappear over night…Google Slaps, Facebook changes, technology changes, etc.
Examples Of Building A Pipeline
Investing in a retirement plan or long term investment strategy –
Most people never save any money or not enough. Start investing a small percentage of your income each month and over time you will build a “Pipeline” of income that grows and grows.
Investing in yourself and others –
Taking the time to work on your self-development and helping others do the same. When people feel better about themselves, they want to accomplish more in their life and this generally leads to more financial prosperity. This is a pipeline you should invest in.
Starting a home or online business that focuses on continuity, passive/residual/leveraged income –
Starting your own home business that has already been proven to create long term income that can grow each month with the power of leverage. It’s a great feeling to wake up in the morning and see that your business made money from work that you did months and even years ago. It’s an even better feeling to see what leverage can do for you.
One day you will wake up after your hard efforts and see thousands and thousands of others just like you that are working for the same cause… and you are getting a small piece from every one of them. All those small pieces can had up to be HUGE. That is the ultimate pipeline!
Is building a pipeline hard?
Of course if you follow a mentor and look to others who have already done it, it is much easier.
