Your Blog… The Hub of Your Marketing
So we’re still talking about your blog. That is because your blog is the most important part of your marketing piece. Everything revolves around your blog.
As the hub of your wheel, all other content marketing efforts radiate out from your blog and then shoot back into your blog. As you go out into Social Media, you’ll want to direct everyone back to your blog – NOT to your company replicated web site.
Your marketing efforts are meant to make the initial contact and create awareness of you and what you have to offer. So sending visitors to your blog can start the business relationship and reveal more information about what you have to offer.
Your company replicated website is there to help you grow your business, but your blog is where you’ll collect email address and begin to build relationships with your followers. You own your blog and you retain full control of the information that is collected there. You use your blog to build relationships with your followers, and then from there you can direct them to your company replicated website.
Facebook is also a great place to build relationships, but your Facebook page doesn’t physically belong to you, and you have no control over any changes that Facebook might make.
That being said, you will want to have a variety of social media presences to cast a wide net so you can be out there where your followers are, and Facebook is good for this. So go ahead and build relationships on Facebook, but always bring them back to your blog before sending them to your company website.
Organizing your content marketing around your blog, or one centric platform, is the key to building your brand online and creating a successful web presence.
